• Boston Scientific will acquire Sadra Medical for as much as $386 million.
• Dell reported quarterly net earnings more than doubled to $822 million from the same period a year earlier.
• Volkswagen, Europe's largest car-maker, will invest $71 billion in plants, vehicles and developing the car-maker's nine brands over the next five years.
• Tyson Foods posted a $213 million quarterly net income compared with a loss of $457 million a year ago.
• Humana Insurance will buy Concentra for $790 million to expand its urgent care and therapy services.
• John Deere & Company posted a $457 million quarterly net profit compared to a $222 million loss a year earlier.
• GM will invest $163 million at two plants in Michigan and one in Ohio to expand production of small engines.
• J Crew Group will be acquired by TPG Capital and Leonard Green & Partners for $2.86 billion.

As we near the end of the year with no certainty as to what the tax code will be in 2011, many of you are wondering if you should convert your IRA's to Roth.
