Biography – Russell K. Jalbert

Russell K. JalbertRussell Jalbert, one of the nation’s leading financial professionals, has advised successful individuals in the management and distribution of their wealth for more than 35 years. An early leader in the financial planning movement, Russ co-founded the National Financial Counseling Board in 1975, to introduce a code of professional ethics and consumer guidelines into the emerging financial services industry. Subsequently, Russ has twice been named as one of the Outstanding Young Businessmen of America by the U.S. Jaycees and today, he is referred to as, “The Dean”.

Russ received his Certified Financial Planner designation from the College for Financial Planning in 1978. Russ was later admitted to the prestigious Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners – an accomplishment achieved by less than five percent of all financial planning professionals.

Russ has been retained by major corporations and banks throughout the country to provide services for their senior executives and wealthy depositors. He has also served as counsel to the senior staff physicians of Henry Ford Hospital and has worked with numerous charities and non-profit organizations to help educate patrons on charitable tax planing issues.

A frequent speaker and author, Russ has appeared in such prominent publications as Business Week, Nation’s Business and The New York Post. As a contributor to his profession, he has authored three texts: Financial Success – How to Plan and Win, which has been used by Walsh College; Giving – Philanthropy for Everyone, a resource for financial professionals; and Honey, Where Did Our Money Go?, a consumer’s guide to financial independence. Russ currently hosts a weekly radio show entitled, “The Jalbert Financial Hour”, on Salem Broadcasting, the nation’s largest Christian broadcasting network.

Russ is the founder of the Jalbert Financial Group, L.L.C. in Southfield, Michigan, a firm specializing in retirement planning.
